Bathroom Bandit at Large! Vandalism Continues…
March 14, 2022
Bathroom vandalism is back. The viral trend thought to have run its course at PCS seems to be back and stronger than ever with male students thinking it funny to clog toilets, break paper towel dispensers, rip urinal dividers off the wall, and even set fires in trash bins. The effects of these actions are apparent in the forms of closed male bathrooms, the lack of paper towels, and the removed urinal dividers. Many students are wondering if there is any end in sight, and with the reemergence of the trend, we may see continued actions taken to prevent further damage. In a message sent out to Canvas, Mr. Harrison states that the students’ actions, “create unnecessary work for people and is costing the school money to restock and repair”. He later added, “We are a small school, family-like in my opinion; we should be looking out for one another”, and “this money could be going to students in more positive ways, but instead it goes to fixing things that are all in place for safety and privacy”. Thankfully, Mr. Hogan, the school’s janitor, has been hard at work and has since repaired the urinal dividers and re-opened all the boys’ bathrooms for use.
