Virtual Concert Keeps Winter Choir Tradition Alive

On December 17th, the PCS Performing Arts department premiered the school’s first ever virtual winter concert. The prerecorded video format, a necessity this year, keeps alive the PCS winter concert tradition and showcases the remote-learning innovations of PCS’s choral arts program. Music teacher Alice Hughes coordinated and edited the concert together from video clips and tracks that students recorded at home. The 27-minute video features performances from Ms. Hughes’ intro to performing arts class, as well as PCS’ advanced choir groups Bella Voce, Canto Basso and Callista Chorale. The video, which was published on Ms. Hughes’ YouTube channel, premiered with an open chat with live commenting.
